It didn't clean, however, and its removable cleaning pads were difficult to attach and didn't deal with dried-on dirt.
Its app isn't equipped with advanced features, such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It does support Alexa however, its voice controls aren't intuitive or responsive. It's also a bit sporadic when it comes back to the charging station after an exercise. Other robots can follow the wall or trace an earlier route however the RX3 bumbles around until it quits.
We also had issues with the smart features of the device, namely its mapping feature and the digital stay-out zones. While it did a decent job of avoiding our furniture legs and shoes, it got easily caught by cables and socks, and couldn't handle the tassels on carpets. We decided not to include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. However, with a reasonable price tag and impressive performance, the Scout RX3 is worth considering if you're looking for an alternative to traditional uprights.
